Katharine Swailes
Construction is central to Katharine's practice. She creates handwoven tapestries, wall based and sculptural. The materials chosen inform the shape and form of the piece. The palette of traditional and created techniques, along with the materials used is limited specifically for each project. Manhattan has been a recuring theme for Katharine over the past twelve years.
