In this tapestry workshop participants will create a minimal weaving aesthetic while concentrating on dark shades and hues, in parallel with the exhibition on show at Gallery 57, in Arundel. Working on a black cotton warp on pre-warped frames, you will learn how to blend threads together while investigating how to introduce a subtle yet minimal intervention of natural colour. Guidance and demonstrations will help you along the way. Tapestry frames can be bought from Atelier Weftfaced for £47.00. All materials are part of the workshop. Level: Beginners - Intermediate Where: Gallery 57, Tarrant Street, Arundel, West Sussex When: 16th October 2024 Time: 10.00am - 4.00pm Where to find us: Gallery 57 is on Tarrant Street, Arundel walking south from the centre of Arundel. There is plenty of parking, places to consider are the Crown Yard car park which is the nearest and then there is Mill Road car park which is larger. If arriving via train please allow time to walk from the station to the venue, this is around 15 minutes. What to bring: Students should bring scissors and if they have woven before their preferred weaving tools and complete beginners can bring no equipment as everything is provided. Here you will find our Terms and Conditions for booking a course organised by Ateliers Weftfaced. Payments: Payments are required to secure a place on any course/workshop. There is a 48 hour grace period, during which time a full refund can be obtained. After this no refund is given, however if you can find a replacement student for your course this may be acceptable at the discretion of Atelier Weftfaced. Refunds: Refunds can only be given if written notice is received within 48 hours of the purchase of the course or at the discretion of Atelier Weftfaced.
