Finding Your Narrative - ONLINE
Informal, friendly, constructive learning experience
Available spots
Description
In this informal, friendly, constructive learning experience our tutor/mentor, Caron Penney is bringing a previously designed face to face workshop to the online space. Join a small, supportive group as you develop ideas that connect to your personal narrative—whether they relate to the environment, the seasons, politics, humanity, poetry, literature, or your own story. Together, we'll explore how to translate these concepts into woven form. You might work abstractly, expressing literature through color, emotions through shape, music through line, or political ideas through text. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm—and any reference materials that might inspire your journey toward creating a unique tapestry design, concept, or finished textile piece. In these four days spaced over four weeks (please note the dates below), you will explore what is key to you, your artwork, your environment or the materials you use. For example, ‘how do these relate and connect to your story, are your materials consistent with the narrative or are they out of alignment’. We will create new discoveries and develop a fresh understanding and background to how you make. Dates: November 3rd & 4th, 10th & 24th 2025 Each session will last 4 - 5 hours from 1pm (UK time zone) Fee: £395 (Instalment plan available, please enquire) The course is videoed, and attendance is essential.
