In this online Circles without Edges tapestry weaving workshop participants can explore the what and how of weaving circles with soft edges that radiate from a central circle. Using the techniques of blending and hatching the tutor will demonstrate how to create a highlight, and go even further by explaining how you can achieve multiple spheres radiating from a central colour, see image. These are the types of questions and many more that will be answered in this practical workshop.
The tutor will both explain, and demonstrate the correct approach to this type of weaving.
You could weave along with the tutor but you may prefer to watch, take notes and then weave along with the video afterwards. This will depend on your ability as a weaver and your preference.
There will be plenty of time to ask questions so please be ready to ask when prompted.
Warning: You should have a basic knowledge of blending and hatching to be able to succeed with this workshop, but all are welcome to watch!
If you have very little knowledge of Hatching you could buy the Hatching video before purchasing this course.
What should you expect?
This will be an informal discussion and demonstration about a specific technique. The workshops will be videoed and the video will be available for 1 year after the workshop. Handouts will be sent ahead of the course. This class will take place via Zoom.
